dont count on this to be over yet, i was recntly banned for accout fraud. so i went looking around and to check what teh codewas for why it was banned i tryed to log on and it took away all of my bonus thing, EOTN, extra character slots the collecters edition i bought 2 hours ago, and i had made an assasin right b4 i was banned and when i went over him in character select it had said i didnt own that expansion.

it might call it fraud if you buy too many packages at once... so when you buy 3-5 different items from the store at once... they might flag your credit card as fraud/stolen... think of it as an annoying security blocker... it does happen... for instance at Shell Gas, if you use your debit card at a pump then use it again later that day at a differnt Shell Station, they will block it at the pump and you must use the card in the store for security purposes because it might be stolen. I ran into that issue a couple of times, but if you look at it from the personal safety part, its understandable. Might be wise to space your purcheses out a little due to this sensitve fraud blocker.

no i phrased that wrong earlyer, but i had owned eotn and an extra charater spot for a while (over 5 months) and today (3 hours ago) i was banned for the collecters edition

Not sure exactly why you got banned. But most of the people here was because of an error in the ingame store. Since you can't buy the collector's edition in the ingame store, you may have a completely different problem from the rest of these people.
Any recent purchases from the ingame store? Skill packs? Pet pack?

Just wanted to say I just bought an additional storage pane with no problems, so it's not happening to everyone. (Bought Monday, July 27)
I hope everyone who does have problems will get their accounts restored ASAP.

Thankfully support unbanned my account. Apparently my account was accessed by a third party and it wasn't an isolated incident, so I'm answering some questions for the support team so they can figure out what happened. I never lost anything (not that I have anything to steal :P), hope anyone else whose accounts were accessed didn't lose anything either...

Just got hacked still havnt got onto my account but after going throu support they have now banned my account for 2 weeks... So instead if giving me my account bl they do that instead doesn't make much sense!

I just realized that my account was banned for fraud payment also.
All I did was to buy the extra storage pane for free when the promotion was available.
I've been telling them but all they gave me was a lame crap like "Your PlayNC account and Guild Wars account email address was same. You are not suppose to". For a week they refuse to solve this problem. They're the fraud by calling me a fraud.
And here's the kicker.
I'm a member of a online press, and I have to write about Guild Wars 2 articles today. I'm about to lose faith in ArenaNet but still have to post articles about them. My life..

Me too. And Ben, error 045 is what you get with the "payment fraud" ban. I bought a storage pane yesterday and got that message today. It appears that this problem is still around. I'm waiting to hear from support.

Exact same thing just happened to me. I emailed support and am considering calling them tomorrow afternoon as well. Knowing this has happened before and people have gotten their accounts restored is reassuring, to a degree, but the fact that it happened at all is very disappointing.

OOO So it is, theyre pretty helpful because i had this problem when i used a new card. Give them information such as your characters and account name.
NOT PASSWORD
Any serial keys used if you still have them, scans or photographs of them is extremly helpful.
they were helpful for me but now i see it seems to be a common problem between you people on the same thing then theyre more likly to help out and believe that its an error on their store software side.
